Harley Street Medical offers medical examinations for Immigration New Zealand. Dr Yen Chen is a panel physician and our team can assist you in obtaining the necessary requirements for your application.
Booking an Immigration Medical

- any details you know of what VISA you are applying for or what medical tests you need.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to know the type of VISA they are applying for and the requirements of the VISA (e.g. is a blood test, chest x-ray, full medical examination required?)
Please note we will do our best to respond to your email within 24 hours.
An immigration medical requires 2 appointments, one to set up your file with Immigration New Zealand and one to see the physician. Patients must bring passport for both appointments.

Things to know
- Payment is required on the day of the set up. Depending on the requirements of the application, the cost can be between $75 and $250 (subject to change).
- If the applicant does not speak good enough English, an independent interpreter is needed (no family members). Book one here or here.
- For some medical examinations applicants may be required to undress. The doctor will explain the undressing requirements. Patients may bring a chaperone if they wish.
- If a booked appointment needs to be changed or rescheduled, 48 hours notice is required to avoid being charged. No refunds will be given if you fail to attend your appointment.
- Chest X-Rays are done at Pacific Radiology (Dr Chen will provide an x-ray referral form). There is a cost for this payable to Pacific Radiology. Phone (03) 548 2745 to book.
- Blood Tests are done at Awanui Labs (appointments must be booked once a blood test form has been given from Dr Chen). There is a cost for this payable to Awanui Labs. Phone (03) 523 8900 to book.
